Hotel Boutique Balcón de la Plaza

Absolutely great location, just a block from the main square but very quite as the rooms face inwards away from the street. Rooms are well spaced but not large, bathroom has a shower and bath and the the rooms cleaning is good. Front desk very helpful. Breakfast adequate without being special but plenty to eat. Nice touch of coffee and tea available 24 hrs by the breakfast room…..they don’t tell you. Would stay here again and recommend.

Balcon La Plaza - perfect central location off the main square in Salta. The room was a little small but well equipped. The reception has a nice seating area off it to cool off a bit after walking in the sun. Excellent WiFi. Pleasant buffet breakfast. An enjoyable stay.

The Balcon De La Plaza is perfectly situated next to the central square of Salta within easy reach of all the tourist sites. It has a cheap car park next door for those who are driving. It is an interesting building which is full of character. The rooms are spaced well apart along a central corridor. Our room had an external terrace which was shared with another room. There was virtually zero noise from the street guaranteeing a good nights sleep. The rooms were clean and comfortable with king size beds and good air conditioning, i suggest they were at a good 3 star level. The staff were helpful and went the extra mile, for example by helping us with some currency exchange. No complaints and I am pleased we selected this hotel.

Really nice and cozy boutique hotel. Just 1 block from the town square, and 5 blocks away from the best restaurants in town. Employees are extremely friendly and very helpful. Bed is huge. Room is quiet. Recomended!

There are many pluses to the hotel. The location is perfect, it’s beautiful, quiet and quaint. The staff are exceptional and very accommodating. Functionality needs some help. Our room was a superior room, but was still quite small. The bathroom was a decent size, but in the room and bathroom, there was almost no place to set anything down except the floor. Put a shelf under the sink, and don’t use the little amount of counter space in the room for the minibar snack selection. Also, with such a small offering for breakfast, please (1) provide a little variety & (2) get decent fruit. What fruit I ate came from a can or had little flavor. I walked 10 meters out the front door of the hotel and bought fruit from a vendor. His fruit was much better and he had more variety on his cart.

this 10=room hotel is a half-a block from the main Parque de Julio 9 with its restaurants, money-changers, trees, lovers, the basilica and museums. Also sleeping dogs. The hotel design is intriguing, with 3 small colonial court-yards between the rooms. They are open to the sky and provide wonderful light to the interior and through windows to the rooms. One has a working fountain, and all have places to sit and contemplate. The front desk is most helpful providing advice, calling taxi's and carrying luggage upstairs (there is no elevator to the second floor). They also arranged a city tour and we especially appreciated the emergency laundry service they provided on a week-end. The breakfast room has a great choice of hot and cold food, plus a television to watch Argentinian World Cup games. The attention to detail that defines the hotel was shown by a request for spoons for our breakfast table. The manager went and got them, and instead of just handing them to us presented them to us on a small plate. What a detail! They are quite flexible and helpful if you wish to pay in Pesos. Something to consider would be to provide a small table and chair in the room for a laptop. I had to set up shop in the empty breakfast room to use my computer at night. The Wi Fi tended to be slow during busy times.

Personnel adorable et très arrangeant. Hôtel typique de la région et très bien situé, avec un parking de ville, juste la porte à côté. Chambre propre et lits confortables. Nous y avons passé un séjour très agréable. Petit déjeuner correct.

Hotel muy bien ubicado a escasa media cuadra de la plaza central. Muy bien atendido por su personal, habitaciones cómodas y desayuno completo. Muy pintoresco y cálido, pequeño pero acogedor. No cuenta co restaurant, no obstante la oferta gastronómica en el área es muy variada.

Hermoso hotel, excelente ubicación. Nos hospedamos 6 días y durante la estadía los chicos de la recepción fueron un amor, sobre todo Fernando y Lito, con quienes más interactuamos, muy serviciales y atentos a cualquier necesidad que tuviéramos.
